Cotton Craft India

We are Cotton Craft India, located at 25 - A Joga Bai in the Jamaia Nager area of Okhla. It’s a very busy part of the city, especially with all the small workshops and shops crowded together. Our unit is tucked inside one of the lanes. It’s a bit hard to find if you don’t know the area well, but once you get here, you’ll see the piles of fabric and the workers busy with their tasks. The space is a bit tight, so we have to be very organized with where we put things. We deal with a lot of different cotton goods and we are always busy either cutting or stitching something. The hum of the sewing machines is the background music to our lives. We have a small entrance where we keep the registers and some chairs for visitors. It’s not a corporate office at all. It’s a place where work actually happens with our hands. Jamaia Nager is always full of life, with people shouting and bikes zooming past. We usually work late into the evening when the weather cools down a bit. The lighting inside isn't the best, but we have enough lamps to see what we are doing. We just focus on getting the job done right and making sure the counts are correct. It’s a simple, hardworking life here in Okhla. We finish the work and start again tomorrow.
