A. S. Silk Inc

Our small business, A. S. Silk Inc, is located at E-9 Muradi Road in the Batla House area of Jamia Nagar. It’s a busy neighborhood with lots of narrow streets and people moving around. We work mostly with silk, as you can probably guess. The space we have is filled with the sound of looms or just people handling fabrics. It isn't a quiet place. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. Usually, if you walk in, you'll just see us working at the back. We don't spend money on big signs or advertisements. We just focus on getting the silk ready. Sometimes we have to work under tight deadlines, and the whole place gets a bit chaotic. But we’ve lived and worked in Jamia Nagar long enough to handle the pressure. We don't use a lot of technical jargon. We just know what good silk feels like. It’s a family-like atmosphere here, even if we aren't all related. We drink tea together and talk about the day’s work. There’s no corporate ladder to climb. We just want to do a decent job so we can keep the doors open. It’s a simple life, and we are okay with that. The dust from the silk fibers sometimes floats in the sunlight coming through the small windows. We try to keep the place tidy, but when you're busy, things get left around. We use old-fashioned methods for a lot of what we do. It takes longer, but we think it’s the right way. That’s just how things go at E-9 Muradi Road.
