You can find Jai Ganesh Machinery over at Cb 96 on the first floor in Naraina. Being right on the Ring Road means it’s always loud outside with the Delhi traffic, which never really seems to stop. We’ve been in this spot for a while now, and the stairs up to the first floor are definitely getting harder to climb with heavy parts in our hands. The shop is filled with various bits of machinery and metal tools that we use every day. It’s not the most organized place in the world, as things tend to pile up on the benches when we get a rush of orders. We don’t really have a big team, just a few people who know how the equipment works and how to fix things when they go wrong. Most of our day is spent dealing with customers who come in looking for specific parts or help with a machine that’s stopped working. We try to be helpful, but sometimes we’re just too busy to talk for long. It’s a practical, no-frills kind of life here in West Delhi. We don’t have any fancy brochures or a glossy website, just a physical shop where you can actually see the work happening. It’s usually pretty cramped inside, but we know where everything is, mostly. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out, in the middle of all that Naraina noise.
