J S Metal Industries is situated over in the Jhilmil Industrial Area, specifically at 25B in Gali No 6 of Friends Colony, Shahdara. This part of the city is always full of the sound of metal hitting metal and machines humming. Our workshop isn't very large, but we have crammed in all the equipment we need to get the work done. The street outside, Gali No 6, is often blocked with trucks loading and unloading, so things can get a bit chaotic during the day. We deal with metal all day long, so there is always a layer of dust and the smell of oil in the air. It’s hard work and it gets very hot, especially in the summer months when the sun beats down on the roof. We started this business because we knew how to work with our hands. We don't have a big office or a reception area. If you come to see us, you’ll probably find us on the shop floor actually doing the work. We have a few guys who have been with us for years, and we all just know what needs to be done. It’s a plain, no-nonsense kind of place where we focus on the tasks at hand. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or marketing because that's not what we are about. We just want to finish the metalwork and get it shipped out from Shahdara.
