Indian Arts Palace

Connaught Place is always a bit of a rush, but our shop at 19-E is a bit tucked away. We are right next to the Vintage store, which is a good landmark if you are getting lost in the circles of CP. Indian Arts Palace has been around this area for a while. The building is old, and you can tell by the way the floors creak when you walk inside. We have a lot of different pieces stacked up, sometimes it feels like there is barely enough room to move around. It is not one of those polished galleries with bright lights. We just use the light that comes through the front and some old bulbs we’ve had for years. It gets a bit chaotic during the peak hours when everyone is out on the street. We mostly just keep to ourselves and focus on the items we have. There is always a layer of Delhi dust that needs wiping off the frames and the glass cases. People come in from the heat to look around, and we just let them be. No one is here to give you a big sales pitch. We just have the things we have, sitting there on the shelves and the floor. It is a bit disorganized, but that is just how the shop has grown over the years. Being next to Vintage helps people find the door easily enough even when the sidewalk is crowded with shoppers.
