Hindustan Refrigeration Stores

Hindustan Refrigeration Stores is located at 2, 4 & 5 Netaji Subhash Marg in the Daryaganj area. It is a very old part of Delhi, and the shop reflects that with its high ceilings and narrow aisles. We have been here for a long time, and the shelves are packed from floor to ceiling with all sorts of cooling parts and tools. It is often a bit dark inside because the building is so deep, but we know exactly where everything is hidden. Customers come in looking for specific valves or copper pipes, and we spend a lot of time searching through bins to find the right size. The street outside is incredibly busy with rickshaws and pedestrians, and the noise never really stops. We have a small desk near the front where we keep the ledger and handle the cash. There is no air conditioning in the shop, so we rely on big ceiling fans that have been spinning for years. We eat our lunch in the back room surrounded by boxes of compressors and fans. It is a dusty, crowded place, but there is a lot of life in it. People from all over the city come here because they know we carry the stuff that nobody else bothers to keep in stock. We don’t do much advertising; people just know we are here on the main road. It is just a traditional family-run store vibe.
