G. I. Steels

We’ve been here at Z-38 in Loha Mandi for a good while now. Being in Naraina means there is always something moving, mostly trucks and heavy loads of metal. It gets pretty dusty out here in the yard, but that is just how it is when you deal with steel every day. My father used to say that the market never sleeps, and he was right about that. We mostly spend our mornings checking the stock and seeing what came in overnight. It’s not fancy work, and our office is just a simple room with some old chairs and a desk that’s seen better days. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle the heavy stuff without making too much of a fuss. People come by looking for specific sizes, and we do our best to find what they need in the stacks. Sometimes the weather makes things hard, like when the rain hits and we have to cover everything up fast. But we stay busy. Naraina is a tough place but it’s where we belong. You get used to the noise of the machines and the shouting of the drivers. We don’t spend much time on the computer or doing paperwork unless we really have to. We just focus on the metal and getting it moved to where it needs to go. That’s pretty much the whole story of G. I. Steels. It's just simple work we do.
