Our place is at G-42 in Connaught Circus. It’s right in the middle of everything, so there’s never a quiet moment outside. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and the building shows its age a little, but we like it that way. It has character. Inside, we have a lot of things hanging up. Some have been there for months, others just arrived yesterday. We don't have a big team of people, just a few of us who show up every morning to unlock the doors. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing things down in our ledger. We still use paper for a lot of things because it’s easier than dealing with computers sometimes. The floors are a bit worn down from all the feet that have walked across them over the decades. We don't try to make it look like a fancy museum. It’s a working gallery where we handle stuff every day. Sometimes the delivery guys bring in heavy crates and we have to shuffle furniture around to make them fit. We’re used to the noise of the traffic and the people shouting outside in the circle. It’s just part of the background now. We usually have a bit of a mess on the back table where we keep our tools and tea mugs. It’s an honest place and we’re just here to do our job.
