Ashu Jewellers

You have to go up to the second floor of Naya Katra in Chandni Chowk to find us. It’s at number 349. The stairs are a bit steep, so take your time coming up. Chandni Chowk is a crazy place, always busy and noisy, but up here it’s a little more manageable. We’ve been running Ashu Jewellers from this spot for quite some time now. We don't have a big window display since we are on the second floor, so people usually come looking for us specifically. Most of our work is wholesale or for people who know exactly what they want. We deal in gold and some silver pieces. It is a small space, mostly filled with our workbenches and a few chairs for visitors. Sometimes the power goes out in the market, but we just keep working by the window light. We aren't interested in being the biggest shop in the area. We just want to do our work and go home to our families. The market stays closed on Sundays, so we do too. It is a hard place to work because of the heat in the summer, but we are used to it by now. If you're coming to see us, just ask any of the shopkeepers on the ground floor, they will point you to the right staircase. We try to keep things simple and honest for everyone who makes the climb up here.
