Brilliant Diamonds

Chawri Bazar is a crazy place if you aren't used to it, and we are tucked away on the second floor at number 116. You have to navigate the narrow stairs and all the people carrying goods back and forth to find us. Once you get up here, it’s a bit quieter than the street level, which is nice because we need to focus on the diamonds. We aren't a big corporate office with glass walls. It’s more of a workshop feel where we spend our time looking at small stones under bright lights. My father worked in this market too, though he was in a different trade. I decided to stick with Brilliant Diamonds because I liked the precision of it. We don't have a big sales team or a fancy reception area. Usually, you just walk in and one of us will look up from our work to say hello. We get a lot of people coming up here looking for something specific, and we do our best to help them find it without any pressure. The air is a bit thick in the summer because the old building doesn't have the best ventilation, but we've got a couple of fans that keep things moving. It’s just a normal day-to-day business where we try to do right by the people who make the effort to climb up those stairs to see us. It's nothing fancy, just hard work.
