Bhushan Steel Ltd

Our place is in Vill/P. O Padampur Motadhank in Kotdwara. It’s up in the Pauri Garhwal district of Uttaranchal. It’s a beautiful area but the roads can be a real nightmare for moving steel. We’re the local point for Bhushan Steel Ltd in this part of the hills. Everything has to be brought up by truck, and sometimes the weather stops everything. We have a decent sized yard where we keep the supplies. It’s a lot of work coordinating with the drivers who have to navigate the mountain passes. The office is just a simple room with a desk and a heater for the winter. We don't really do much in the way of sales talk. People come in, ask for what they need for their construction projects, and we see if we have it. It’s a lot of waiting for the right moment to move the heavy stuff. We’ve grown fond of the quiet moments between deliveries. It’s a tough location for a steel business, but we make it work. We don't have a big corporate team here, just a few of us making sure things run right. It’s an honest way to spend the day, even when the fog rolls in and we can’t see the gate. We just take it one load at a time.
