If you come down to Vishwas Nagar and look for 562 Bhim Gali, you’ll find us at Ashoka Metal Industries. It’s a narrow lane, and it can be a bit of a squeeze if two bikes are trying to pass each other. We’ve been working with metal here for a long time. The sound of hammering and cutting is pretty much the soundtrack to our days. It’s a dusty job, and we usually end the day with soot on our clothes. We don't have a big corporate headquarters; our workshop and the little office are all in the same building. We make all sorts of metal parts, and most of our customers are local shops or small manufacturers. We don't really have a sales team or a marketing plan. People just know we are here in the lane and they drop by when they need something made or repaired. The space is filled with scraps of iron and steel, and we know exactly where everything is, even if it looks like a mess to an outsider. We take our work seriously, even if we don't use fancy titles. It’s about getting the metal shaped right and making sure it’s strong enough for whatever it's being used for. It’s hot work, especially in the summer, but we’re a tight-knit group and we get through it together. We aren't a big factory, just a local shop doing what we know best for the people in our community.
