We are based at House Number 06 in Mohlangi, which is in the Satana Taluka of the Nashik district. Saptapadi Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited is really just a collection of neighbors who wanted to do something together. Mohlangi is a small place, so everyone knows where House No 06 is. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls. Our office is just a room where we keep our files and sit down for tea to talk about the crops. Being in Satana, we have to deal with the local climate, which can be pretty dry at times. We spend a lot of time talking about water and how to make the most of what we have. We aren't interested in being the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the farmers in our group are getting a fair shake. It’s a lot of work, and some days it feels like we’re just moving papers around, but it matters to us. We’ve all grown up with our hands in the dirt, and that’s what we understand best. If you come by Mohlangi, you won’t see any big billboards for us. You’ll just see people working the land and maybe a few of us gathered at the house talking about the next harvest. It’s just how things are done here. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make things a little better for the folks here.
