Our company, Malhari Krupa Agri Farmers Producer Company Limited, is based at Gat Number 191/1 in Pingalwade. We’re located in the Baglan taluka of Nashik district. It’s a beautiful part of the country, though the work can be pretty grueling at times. We’re a group of local farmers who wanted to do things a bit differently. We don’t have a massive headquarters or a team of marketing people. It’s just us in a small office near the fields. Most of our time is spent dealing with the actual crops—onions, grapes, or whatever else is in season. We know the local soil and the water issues better than anyone else because we live here. We aren't interested in sounding like a big corporation. We just want to make sure the work gets done and the farmers get paid. The office is usually a bit dusty and there’s always something that needs fixing, but that’s just how it is. We talk plainly and we expect others to do the same. Sometimes we sit around and drink tea while we figure out the logistics for the next week. It’s a community effort more than anything else. We’ve seen a lot of changes in Nashik over the years, but the farming stays the same—it’s hard work every single day. We’re just here to keep at it and help our fellow farmers in Pingalwade.
