Maa Bijasan Traders

Maa Bijasan Traders is located in Shop No.G-2 inside Sahyog Bhawan. We are right there at Datta Chowk, which is a busy spot no matter the time of day. The shop isn't very large, so we have to use every bit of shelf space we have, sometimes stacking things all the way to the ceiling. It is mostly just me and one other guy here. We open up early to beat the heat, sweeping the front step and getting the lights on. People come in and out all day, mostly looking for specific things they need for their own businesses or homes. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here because we've been in the same spot at the Chowk for years. The tea stall nearby is where we get our morning drink, and we usually sit on the wooden bench out front for a few minutes if there aren't any customers. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late in the evening, and we have to stay to unload everything by hand. It is a straightforward life. We sell what we have, we talk to the neighbors, and we close up when the sun goes down. It is a bit dusty and the paint is peeling in the corners, but it is our place. We don't mind the noise from the traffic because it means people are out and about.
