Aditi Grapes

Up in Kolhate Dindori, the air is usually good for the vines. That’s where you’ll find Aditi Grapes. We aren't a big fancy winery or a massive export house. We’re just a local outfit focused on the grapes we grow and manage here. The work is mostly outdoors. We spend a lot of time in the rows, checking the fruit and making sure everything is okay. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we start early. My boots are usually covered in dust by noon. We don’t have a receptionist or a lobby. If you come by, you’ll probably find us near the sheds or out in the fields. Dindori is a good place for this kind of work. The soil is right. We’ve had good years and bad years, like anyone else in agriculture. We just keep going because it’s what we know. Our setup is basic—some storage, some tools, and a couple of old trucks. We sell what we grow and try not to overthink it. It’s a lot of physical labor, and my back definitely feels it some days. But seeing the grapes ready for harvest makes it feel worth it. We don’t do much advertising. People know where we are in Kolhate. It’s a quiet life, mostly focused on the seasons and the rain. We like it this way. There isn't much to complain about when the crop is healthy and the weather holds up.
