The workshop is located over at Plot 101 and 102 in the MIDC area, right on 19th Street. It’s easy to find because we’re directly across from the big Ceat Tyres plant, which is always a hive of activity. Being in this part of town means there’s always a lot of dust and trucks moving back and forth. Arrow Webtex has been operating out of these plots for a while, and the walls show a bit of that history. It’s not a quiet place by any means. The sound of the looms or whatever machine is running that day fills the air from morning until we close up. We mostly keep to ourselves and focus on the production schedules. Sometimes the power goes out or a machine acts up, and we have to spend the afternoon fixing it instead of working. That’s just part of life in an industrial zone. Lunch breaks are usually spent sitting together or grabbing something from the stall down the road. It’s a bit of a walk, but it gets us out of the heat for a minute. We don’t have a fancy front office or anything like that. It’s mostly just the floor space filled with materials and people making sure everything stays on track. The street gets pretty crowded in the evenings when everyone is leaving, but we usually stay a bit later to finish up the day’s tasks.
