You can find Akash Industries right across from the Novelty Bakery over in Midc Satpur. Being near the bakery is actually one of the highlights because of the smell of fresh bread in the morning, which is a nice change from the usual industrial smells. We occupy units 42 and 43. It’s a practical space. We don't have a showroom or a front desk with a secretary. Usually, you just walk in and find one of us working on the floor. We’ve been in Satpur for a good stretch of time now. The work we do involves a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the machines are calibrated right. It gets loud and sometimes it’s a bit messy, but that’s the nature of an industrial shop. We don’t really do much advertising. People usually hear about us from other businesses in the area. We just focus on the task at hand. If a machine breaks down, we spend the afternoon fixing it instead of worrying about the paperwork. Sometimes the office part of things gets a bit behind because we’re busy with the actual production. But we eventually catch up. It’s a small team here, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything. One day you’re moving pallets and the next you’re checking the inventory lists. We like the routine of it. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
