The MIDC area in Satpur is always loud and busy, and our spot at B-58 is no different. We do electroplating here, which is messy and involves a lot of tanks and chemical solutions. You can smell the metal and the liquids as soon as you walk near the gate. It is a practical setup for work. We have racks where we hang the parts before they go into the baths. It is hot work, especially in the summer months when the shed traps all the heat from the machines. We do not have a fancy office or air conditioning. Most of the time we are wearing heavy aprons and boots to stay safe. The floor is usually wet from rinsing things off. We get parts from all over, some big pieces and some tiny screws that are a real pain to handle. It is all about getting the timing right so the coating sticks properly and doesn't flake off. Sometimes the electricity cuts out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in. We do not spend much time on the phone unless it is a customer asking when their order will be ready for pickup. It is just honest factory work. We keep the machines running and make sure the chemicals are at the right strength for the day's job. It is a lot of standing and moving heavy crates around, but that is just how this business works here.
