Amalgamated Industrial Composites Pvt. Ltd. is situated at Plot No. D-51 in the MIDC Ambad area. It is a standard industrial plot, and there is nothing particularly flashy about the building or the yard. We work with different kinds of composite materials, which means things can get pretty messy with resins and fibers and dust. By the time the afternoon rolls around, the floor is usually covered in scraps that need to be swept up. We have a few large machines that take up most of the room in the shed. It is a noisy place to be, but we have all gotten used to it over the years. Most of the guys here have been working together for a long time. We do not have a fancy reception area for visitors; you basically walk through the door and you are right in the middle of the production floor. The office is just a small corner we partitioned off to keep the invoices and the computer dry. During the monsoon, the rain hits the metal roof so hard that you have to shout to be heard. We don't spend much time talking anyway; we just try to get the orders finished on time. There is a small tea stall just outside the gate where we go to take our breaks. It is a simple life.
