Our facility is out at 34-B in the Industrial Estate in Satpur, which is part of the MIDC area. It’s a proper industrial zone, so there are factories all around us. The air usually smells like metal and oil, which is something you just stop noticing after a while. We have a fairly large space here to accommodate all our equipment. It’s not the quietest place to work because of the machinery running in the background. We usually start pretty early in the morning to beat the worst of the heat. The staff mostly lives nearby, so we all know each other well. We have a small area where we take our breaks and drink some tea. The floor is concrete and the walls are painted a simple grey. It’s all very functional. We don't really have visitors often, so we don't worry about how the place looks to outsiders. We just care about getting the electronics built correctly. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a big batch, and the estate gets very quiet at night. It’s a different kind of feeling then. We’ve been in Satpur for quite some time now and it feels like home. There's a lot of work involved in what we do, but it keeps us busy and we like the routine of the shop floor. We just try to keep things moving steadily every single day.
