Asian Platter Restaurants

Running a restaurant like Asian Platter inside the Wasan Hotels building means we see a lot of people coming off the Mumbai Agra Road. Nashik is a busy place, and Mumbai Naka is right in the middle of all the noise. We are tucked beside the Wasan Bajaj showroom. It’s a lot of work keeping the kitchen going while travelers are stopping for a quick bite before they continue their journey. We don't have a big fancy office. Most of the time, I am just standing behind the counter or checking the pantry supplies. The plates are heavy, and the days are long. We serve people who are tired from driving and just want a decent meal. Sometimes the city power goes out and we have to switch over to the generator quickly so the food doesn't spoil. It is just a regular spot on the road. We don't put on any acts. The staff knows the menu by heart and we just try to be quick with the service. Nashik has its own pace, and we just fit into it. There is always a lot of dust from the road outside, so we are constantly cleaning the windows. It’s a honest day's work for all of us here at the restaurant, nothing more than that. We just focus on the orders and making sure the stove stays lit during the dinner rush.
