Shiva Shakthi Traders

Shiva Shakthi Traders is based at C-3 in Mohan, which is out near Almora, coming via Ramnagar. It’s a beautiful area, but being up here means deliveries can take a while to reach us, especially when the weather is bad or the mountain roads are blocked. We deal in various trade goods that the local people need. It’s a small operation, mostly just a couple of us handling everything from unloading trucks to managing the accounts. The shop is tucked away, but most of the locals know where we are. We don't spend money on advertising; we just stay open and talk to the people who come in. Sometimes we sit outside when things are quiet and watch the traffic go by. The building is a bit old, and we’ve had to do some repairs on the roof recently to keep the rain out. We aren't looking to expand into a big chain or anything like that. We just like being part of the community here in Mohan. Dealing with suppliers from the bigger cities can be a bit of a hassle because of the distance, but we’ve built some good relationships over the years. We keep a ledger for everything because we don't really trust the computers to stay working with the power cuts we get. It’s a slow pace of life, but it suits us just fine. We just take each day as it comes and try to be helpful.
