Shervani Hospitalities

We have been over at Shervani Lodge in Mallital for quite a long time now. It is a bit of a trek up here sometimes, especially when the weather turns cold or rainy, but we keep things moving as best as we can. My family and a few helpers spend most of our days making sure the rooms are tidy and the guests have what they need for the night. We aren't a big fancy place with uniforms or anything like that. Most of the time, you will find us just sitting near the entrance or checking on the kitchen. The lodge itself has old walls and the floors sometimes creak, but it is home to us. We handle the bookings ourselves and try to keep the garden from getting too wild during the monsoon season. People come here mostly because they know the area or someone told them about us. We don't do much advertising because we are usually busy enough with the regulars. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to run around with candles and torches, which is just how life is in the hills. We focus on getting the small things right, like having hot tea ready or making sure the blankets are thick enough for the winter. It is just us running the show here, trying to keep everything in working order day after day. It is a lot of work but we are used to the routine by now.
