Taj Hotels

Up here in Nainital, specifically in the Anandpur area of Haldwani, is where we are. The address is Vill- H. P. Kuwar Singh, P. O.-Anandpur. It’s a different vibe than the big cities, that’s for sure. This Taj Hotels location is nestled in a spot that feels a bit more connected to the local ground. 263139 is the pincode if you’re looking it up on a map. We don't have the huge marble lobbies you might see in Mumbai, but we have the hills and the fresh air. People come here to get away from the heat down in the plains. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we know the roads and the weather pretty well. It rains quite a bit sometimes, and we just have to keep the umbrellas ready for everyone. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place tidy because the dust from the roads can get in. It’s a hotel, so we do hotel things like making beds and serving food, but it feels more like a house in the mountains. We don’t really go for all that corporate talk or polished speeches. We just want people to have a decent room while they are visiting. The village atmosphere is still there, even with the name Taj on the front. We just do our work and look at the trees when things get slow in the afternoon.
