Hotel Harshikhar

Hotel Harshikhar is our place in Bhimtal, and we are lucky to be located right near Bhimtal Lake. You can practically see the water from the front door. It is a quiet spot, which is why most people decide to stay here. We have a handful of rooms that we keep ready for travelers. We aren't one of those fancy luxury resorts you see in magazines. We are just a regular hotel with basic rooms. We make sure the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms work like they should. In the mornings, you can hear the birds and see the mist over the lake. We have a small kitchen where we cook simple meals for the guests. It’s mostly local food, nothing too complicated. The staff here are all local people who have lived in Bhimtal their whole lives. We don't have a big corporate manual on how to talk to guests. We just treat people like they are visiting our home. Sometimes the mountain weather makes things a bit difficult, like when the internet goes slow, but we just deal with it. Running a hotel in the hills means you have to be ready for anything. We spend our days making sure everyone is settled in and has what they need for their stay. It’s a good way to meet people from all over. We like the pace of life here. We also have a small garden area where people can sit and drink tea.
