Swiss Hotel

So, Swiss Hotel is located up in the Mallital area. If you know the town at all, you know this part of the hill is always buzzing with people walking around and things happening. We’ve been part of the landscape here for quite some time. The building itself has its own character, with some old spots and some bits that show its age, but that’s just how it is with these older places. We don’t try to act like a big five-star chain or anything. It’s more of a place where we just handle the rooms and make sure guests have what they need for the night. The walk from the main spots in Mallital isn't too bad, though the roads can get crowded during the peak season. We spend a lot of our time just keeping up with the maintenance because the mountain air and the rain can be tough on the walls. It’s a lot of work running a hotel here. We see all kinds of people, from families on holiday to folks just traveling solo. It’s a simple operation really. We stay busy with the daily routine of check-ins and cleaning. Sometimes the weather gets a bit moody up here, but we just carry on with the work. It’s home for us as much as it is a place for visitors. We’re just regular people trying to keep the place going year after year, no matter what the mountain weather throws at us.
