Shergarh Resorts Private Limited is based out of Sargakhet in the Bhimtal area. Our mailing address is care of Gulshan Jurani in Darima. It is quite a quiet part of Uttarakhand, which is a nice change from the busy cities down below. The air is thinner up here and the roads can be a bit of a challenge especially during the monsoon season. We aren't a big corporation with fancy offices in Delhi. We are just a local team working right here in the hills. Managing a resort in this kind of terrain takes a lot of physical work. We have to worry about water supply, keeping the paths clear, and making sure the buildings can handle the cold winters. It is mostly us doing the work along with a few helpers from the local village. We spend a lot of time outside checking on things rather than sitting behind a desk. Sometimes the phone signal is a bit weak, so we have to walk a bit to get a good connection. It’s a simple way of living and working. We don't use any of that professional marketing language because it doesn't really fit who we are. We just want to keep the place running so that it stays a part of the community here in Bhimtal. It’s a long day from start to finish but we are used to the pace of life up here.
