Lohagarh Corbet Resort Private Limited is situated out in Village Shivlalpur Joshi. To find us, you have to go through Biailpokhara and Biail Parao in the Kaladhungi area. It is a bit of a drive from the main Nainital town, but it is much closer to the forest. We are right on the edge of the Corbett area, so you can hear the birds and sometimes even see wild animals if you are lucky. The resort is something we built because we love this part of the country. It is mostly flat land here before the hills really start. We are not city people. Most of our staff comes from the village right next door. Managing a place like this in the jungle is not easy. The grass grows very fast during the monsoon and we have to keep fighting the weeds. Sometimes the pipes get clogged or the monkeys cause a bit of trouble on the roof. We spend our days fixing things and making sure the kitchen has fresh supplies from the local market. It is a family-run kind of place, and we do not have a big corporate office in Delhi. We are right here on the ground in Nainital district. It is a quiet life and we just want to offer a simple place for people to rest.
