Down in Village-Gehna, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. We are Lapwing Resorts Private Limited and our main office is right here near the P.O. Sarga Khet in Nainital. Living and working in Uttarakhand means you deal with the weather and the roads every single day. Some days it is beautiful and clear, and other days the mist just hangs over everything. We aren't a giant company with hundreds of employees. We are just a local group trying to manage things in this part of the mountains. The village is small and everyone knows everyone else’s business, which has its good and bad sides. We spend a lot of our time just looking after the property and making sure everything is where it should be. It’s a lot of walking up and down hills, which keeps us tired but healthy I guess.
