St Jawiyar Convent School

St Jawiyar Convent School sits in the Narasimharaja Rmp Colony. We are out on Hunsur Road in the Yelwal area of Mysore. It is a bit away from the main city center, so it feels a little more relaxed here. The school is at No.D-316. It is a regular building that we have turned into a place for kids to learn. We have a lot of students from the colony and the nearby villages. Every morning, you can see the yellow buses or parents on scooters dropping kids off at the gate. We have a small playground where they run around during the lunch break. The teachers here are just normal people from around Mysore who care about teaching the kids their letters and numbers. We don't have fancy air conditioning or big labs. We use blackboards and notebooks. The walls have some drawings that the children made in class. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty because of the road, but we try to keep it tidy. Life here is simple. We follow the school calendar, celebrate the holidays, and wait for the summer break. It is the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else. If a student is missing, we usually know why before the parents even call. We are just a small part of the Yelwal community, trying to give the children a decent start in life without making a big fuss about anything.
