Srujana High School

Our school is located in the Lashkar Mohalla area of Mysore, specifically at No.3355 on 2nd Main. We call the building The Nest. It’s an older part of the city, near Lourdes Nagar. Srujana High School has been here for years, and the building shows its age a bit, but it’s sturdy. We have high schoolers here, so there is always a lot of energy. The classrooms have high ceilings which helps with the Mysore heat, but we still rely on the fans quite a bit. I’m usually the one who gets here first to unlock everything. The street outside is narrow, so it gets a bit jammed when school lets out. We don’t have a massive campus with a stadium. Our students play in the local grounds or in the small space we have out back. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves of books and desks that have been used by many students over the years. We focus on the curriculum and getting through the syllabus. There aren't any flashy posters or big promises. It’s just a neighborhood school where we know the local shopkeepers and the families living nearby. Dealing with the plumbing or the occasional electrical issue is just part of my day. We are just a group of people running a school in a quiet corner of Mysore. It's simple and it works for us without any extra trouble.
