Sri Kanaka Driving School

We are located over on New Kantharaj Urs Road in Sharadadevi Nagar, right here in Mysore. It’s a decent spot for a driving school because the roads nearby give people a good chance to practice without getting too overwhelmed right away. We spend most of our mornings and evenings sitting in the passenger seat, watching mirrors and keeping an eye on the clutch work. It’s not always easy work, especially when the traffic picks up in the afternoons, but someone has to do it. The office at No. 19 Hig is where we handle all the paperwork and where people come to sign up. Most people who come to us are just locals from around Mysore who want to get their license so they can get to work or run errands. We don't have fancy simulators or anything like that. We just use the cars we have and spend time on the road. Sometimes the cars need a lot of maintenance because learning drivers can be a bit rough on the gears, but that’s just how it goes. We try to keep things simple and just focus on getting people comfortable behind the wheel. It’s a lot of sitting and a lot of talking, explaining the same rules over and over until they stick. If you walk past the HIG building, you’ll probably see us coming or going with a student. It’s just a normal local business trying to help people get from one place to another without too much stress.
