Exclusive Driving School

If you’ve spent any time driving around Siddarthanagar, you’ve probably seen our cars. Exclusive Driving School is based on Bannur Main Road. It’s a good spot because the road is wide enough for beginners to practice without getting too scared of the Mysore traffic. We started this because we saw how many people were nervous about getting behind the wheel. Our office is just a small room with a desk and some charts on the wall showing road signs. Most of the day, we aren't even in the office. We’re out on the road. The cars are well-used, maybe a few scratches here and there from people learning to park, but they run fine. We keep the logbooks in the glove compartment and mark down the hours for each student. Sometimes the Mysore heat makes the steering wheel a bit hot, so we keep some towels handy. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of us who know the local routes well. We usually take the students through the quieter streets of Siddarthanagar first before heading out to the busier parts of Bannur Main Road. It’s a lot of patience. You hear the gears grinding sometimes, but that’s just part of the process. We like being part of the community here. It’s nice to see someone we taught driving their own car a few months later on the same streets where they started.
