If you look for Datta Driving School, you’ll find us at 1232 Yashashnini Complex on HD Kote Road in Hunsur. We are right across from the veterinary hospital, which is how most people find the place. It’s a small office with just enough room for a desk and a couple of chairs for people to wait. We spend most of our hours out on the road in the cars rather than sitting inside. The cars aren’t brand new models, but they work fine and we keep them serviced so they don’t break down in the middle of a lesson. Learning to drive in Mysore can be a bit stressful with all the bikes and cows on the road, but we’ve seen it all before. We don't have a big marketing budget or flashy cars with wraps. We just have our name on the side of the door. Usually, it’s just one or two of us handling everything from the paperwork to the actual driving lessons. The complex itself is okay, but the stairs can be a bit steep if you aren’t used to them. We try to be patient because everyone is nervous when they first get behind the wheel. It’s a lot of repeating the same instructions all day long, but it’s what we do. We close up when it gets dark because teaching someone to park in the dark is just asking for a dented bumper. It is a long day but quite steady.
