Sri Gokula Shikshana Samsthe

We’ve been around Kuvempunagar for quite a while now. Sri Gokula Shikshana Samsthe is right there on Adichunchanagiri Road, near the P2 spot. It started out because there was a real need for a place where local kids could just come and learn without too much fuss or high costs. Mysore is generally a quiet city, and our little corner of it is even quieter most days. We handle things one day at a time. Sometimes the front gates get a bit squeaky when the kids run in at eight in the morning, but that’s just part of the daily routine. Most people in the neighborhood know us just by the address. You walk down from the main junction and there we are. We don't have fancy glass buildings or big air-conditioned halls. It’s just a solid, older building where classes happen. Teachers here have been around a long time. They live nearby too, so they know the families. If you walk past in the morning, you'll hear the general noise of people getting ready for the day. It’s not always perfectly silent, but it feels real. We try to keep the place tidy, though the dust from the road always finds its way in no matter how much we sweep. It’s a busy spot in the mornings and then gets very calm by the afternoon when everyone goes home. Most people just find us because their neighbors or cousins told them about the place. It’s just a part of the local life here in Mysore. We’ve seen the roads change and the shops grow, but the school stays pretty much the same. That’s just how we like to keep it.
