You can find me over at the Post Graduates Block in the SJCE Boys Hostel. Specifically, I am in Room Number 10. Mysore is a nice city, much quieter than the big metros, and the campus here at SJCE is pretty large. Being a postgraduate student means I spend a lot of time tucked away in this room or over at the lab. It is a basic hostel life, really. I have got my books piled up on the corner of the desk and some clothes hanging on the back of the chair. The hostel has its own rhythm, with people coming and going at odd hours. Santoshkumar Budanur is the name on the door. It is not a formal setup at all. I just do my daily tasks here and try to keep things moving forward. Sometimes the canteen food is okay, other days we just go out to find something better. Living in a hostel teaches you how to manage with very little space. You share the hallways with a lot of other guys who are also stressed about their projects. It is just the way it goes here. I’ve been here for a while now and I know the local shops around the college area well. Mysore has a way of making you feel at home even when you are just living in a single hostel room. There is always someone around if you need to talk or borrow a pen.
