Shiksha Bharti

Shiksha Bharti is over in Saraswathipuram on Vishwamanava Double Road. We are located in the Caauveri Arcade, specifically in unit number 6/1. It is right opposite Lobo Restaurant, which is lucky for us because the food smells really good around lunchtime. Our setup is pretty straightforward and simple. We have a couple of rooms where we do the teaching and a small area where people can wait. Mysore is a peaceful city for the most part, and our location reflects that vibe. It is easy for students to get here by bus or on their scooters. The building itself is a typical commercial block, so there are other shops and small offices all around us. Inside our space, it is mostly just shelves full of study materials and rows of desks for the students. We don’t do a lot of fancy decoration because we think the focus should stay on the books and the lessons. I usually spend most of my time organizing the schedules or talking to parents who stop by after work. We have seen many different students pass through these doors over the years. Some are now working in good jobs, and they still drop by to say hello when they are in the area. It makes the long hours feel worth it. We are just trying to help local kids get through their exams and learn something useful.
