Shankar Driving School

We are Shankar Driving School, based right in Mysore near the Head Post Office area, zip code 570001. It’s a central location, so it’s easy for people from different parts of the city to get to us. We’ve been teaching driving for quite a while in this part of town. The office isn't anything special, just a room with some chairs and a desk where we do the registration. Most of the action happens out on the streets of Mysore. We like the local roads because they offer a good mix of quiet lanes and busier intersections. Our instructors are just regular people who have a lot of patience. They’ve seen every kind of mistake a beginner can make. We don't use a lot of fancy technology or anything. It's just a car, a teacher, and a student. We think that’s the way to really learn how a vehicle feels. People come to us through word of mouth mostly. We don’t really do big ads. We just focus on getting through the daily lessons. Sometimes the schedule gets a bit backed up if the licensing office is slow, but we try to keep things moving. It’s a steady business and we enjoy being part of the community here. If you’re around the Mysore HO area, you’ll probably see our cars passing by quite often during the day.
