Most people just use the Sterling Theatre as a landmark because everyone knows where that is. We have been teaching people how to drive for quite a while now. It’s funny seeing how nervous folks get when they first sit behind the wheel. We try to keep things calm. Driving in Mysore isn't as bad as Bangalore, but it has its moments. We use the local streets to get people used to the turns and the signals. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a place to handle the paperwork and chat about the lessons. We get a lot of young students and sometimes older people who never got around to learning. It's good to see them finally get their licenses. We don’t really do fancy marketing stuff. Usually, someone’s cousin or neighbor told them about us, and they just show up. We have a few cars we use for the lessons. They aren't brand new, but they work fine and are easy for beginners to handle without stalling too much. We try to be patient because we know how it feels to start out. Some days the weather is great for a drive, and other days it’s just too hot. But we go out anyway. It's just what we do here in Mysore. We’ve been part of this community for a long time and we like it.
