Pai Vista

If you know the Suberin Bus Stand in Mysore, then you know exactly where we are. We are right opposite to it on Bangalore Nilgiri Road. It’s a loud spot because of all the buses coming and going, but it makes it easy for travelers to find a place to stay. I’ve been working at Pai Vista for a while. The morning shift is always the craziest. You have people checking out at five in the morning to catch the first bus. We try to keep the lobby clear and the coffee going. The street outside gets dusty, so we are always mopping the front steps. It’s a big building, 35/A, and it has been here for years. You can see the sign from the main road quite easily. We have different rooms and some halls for events. Sometimes there is a wedding or a meeting going on and the whole place gets packed. We just manage the crowds as they come. The staff mostly stays busy in the back or at the front desk. It is a straightforward business, really. We don’t have any big speeches about what we do. We just open the doors, clean the rooms, and help people get their bags to the right floor. It is a lot of walking up and down. Mysore is a busy city now. There is always someone coming or going at the front door. It keeps us on our feet and the day goes by fast.
