Orchid (Fortune J P Palace)

Our place is called Orchid and we are located right inside the Fortune J P Palace on Abba Road. We are in the Nazarbad area of Mysore, which is a nice part of town. We’ve been here at No.3 for some time now. It’s a restaurant where we spend most of our days. The building itself is quite large, but we just handle our section. We get a mix of travelers and local families coming in. We don't use any fancy talk to describe what we do. We just cook food and serve it to whoever walks through the door. Some days the kitchen is really hot and everyone is moving fast. Other days it’s slower and we have time to catch our breath. We’ve got a team that mostly just wants to do a good job. We aren't trying to win any big awards or anything like that. We just want to make sure the plates go out looking okay and that people leave with full stomachs. Nazarbad is a good neighborhood to be in. You see a lot of the same faces after a while. We don't have a big corporate office telling us what to do every second. It's just us running the floor and making sure things stay organized. If you’re ever near Abba Road, you’ll probably see the sign for the palace and we are right inside there.
