Our school is tucked into Siddhartha Layout here in Mysore. It’s a pretty decent area, mostly quiet except when school starts or ends. The building has been standing in Siddarthanagar for years, and most people around here know exactly where it is. We have a lot of local staff who have been with us for a long time. Every morning, you can see the yellow buses pulling in and the kids jumping out with their heavy bags. We spend a lot of time just managing the day-to-day things, like making sure the playground is clear and the water filters are working. It’s not a complicated place. We have classrooms that get a nice breeze in the afternoons when the Mysore weather is good. Sometimes the monkeys from the nearby trees come onto the roof, which makes a lot of noise, but we just shoo them away. The teachers spend their breaks in the staff room, mostly talking about their own kids or what to cook for dinner. It’s a very normal, local kind of place. We don’t really do big speeches or fancy presentations. We just open the gates, do the classes, and go home when the sun starts to go down. It feels like a small community where everyone is just trying to do their bit without making a big fuss about it. The address is easy to find if you’re near the layout.
