Hotel Ramanashree

You can find us over on B.N. Road, right by Hardinge Circle. It’s a landmark that most people in this area recognize, so we don't usually have to give too many directions over the phone. Being near the circle means we see all sorts of people passing through, from tourists to folks here for work. The building itself is a solid structure, but like any place that’s been around, it needs constant attention. One day it’s a fuse that’s blown, and the next day we’re painting over a scuff on the wall. We don't have any fancy mission statements. Our day is mostly just filled with the practical stuff, like making sure the kitchen has enough eggs for breakfast and that the water tanks are full. We have a few staff members who have been here for years, and they know exactly how the place works. We don’t use any complicated systems for check-ins, just a simple desk and a pen. It gets a bit busy in the evenings when everyone returns from their day out, and the lobby fills up with voices. We just try to keep things organized and make sure everyone has their key. It’s not a complicated life we lead here. We just want to make sure the rooms are ready and the lights are on when someone arrives late at night. It’s just a regular hotel doing regular business every day for whoever needs a bed.
