The Old house

Our place is located at Shop No.451 on Jlb Road in Chamarajapuram. It really is an old house, which is why we kept the name simple. Mysore has changed a lot lately, but this corner near the Big Bazar still feels like the old days to me. The building has these thick walls and high ceilings that you don't really see in new constructions anymore. Sometimes the floor tiles are a bit uneven, but it adds to the character, I suppose. We aren't a big chain or anything like that. It’s just a small group of us working here. My uncle used to run things, and now I’ve taken over the daily bits and pieces. We get a lot of shoppers coming in after they finish their business at Big Bazar. Jlb Road can be a nightmare for parking during the weekends, but somehow our regulars always find a spot. We don’t have fancy uniforms; we just wear what’s comfortable for a long shift. The garden area is my favorite part, even if the plants need more watering than I have time for. We just serve the kind of food we grew up eating at home. It’s a quiet life for the most part, excluding the traffic noise from the main road. We don't do much on the internet, we just focus on the people who walk through the door.
