Annapoorna Restaurant

Our restaurant is located at 1214/2 in the Model House area of Nazarbad. It is a nice spot in Mysore, specifically because we are right opposite the Zoo Garden. Being so close to the zoo means we see a lot of families and tourists, especially on the weekends and during school holidays. It is a very different vibe from the busy city centers. People are usually a bit more relaxed when they come in here. We have been in the 570010 area for a while now. The building is a regular house that we use for the restaurant, so it has a bit of a different feel than a modern shop. We don't have a fancy website or a big team of managers. It is just a few of us in the kitchen and serving the tables. We spend our mornings getting the sambar and rice ready for the lunch crowd. Sometimes when the zoo is very busy, we struggle to find enough chairs for everyone, but people usually don't mind waiting a little bit. We don't use any complicated recipes or expensive ingredients. We just cook what we know how to make. The street outside is usually lined with parked cars and people walking towards the zoo entrance. We just keep the doors open and do our daily work in this quiet corner of Nazarbad.
