Sukhadhare Restaurant

Our restaurant is located at 296/B on the Ring Road in Hebbal, Mysore. We are pretty close to the Bharat Cancer Hospital, so a lot of people use that as a landmark to find us. Being on the Ring Road means we get a lot of people who are just passing through the city or heading to the industrial areas nearby. It’s a wide road, and the wind can get quite strong sometimes, blowing dust into the front area if we aren't careful. We try to keep the place as clean as we can, but it's a constant battle with the traffic outside. The restaurant is a simple building. We don’t have a huge staff, just a few local guys who have been with us for a while. We start our day before the sun is up to get everything ready for the breakfast crowd. My wife helps with the bookkeeping, and I handle the day-to-day operations on the floor. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of washing up and heavy lifting involved. We don’t have any fancy signs or neon lights. Most people just know us by the name on the board out front. It’s a quiet life in some ways, even with the cars rushing by outside. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. Sometimes we have a bit of time to sit and chat, but mostly we are just working.
