Located at No. 3214 on Dr Nelson Mandela Road, our spot is right across from the KSRTC bus depot in Banni Mantap. Because of the depot, we see a lot of bus drivers and conductors coming in for their breaks. They are usually in a hurry, so we have to be quick. Mysore is a bit quieter than other cities, but this specific road stays fairly busy with all the buses going in and out. Sri Sai Bhavan has been here for a while. We have some wooden tables and basic lighting. Nothing special to look at, but it serves its purpose. In the mornings, the smell of coffee and tiffin fills the air. We start quite early because that is when the first shift of buses starts moving. The staff is mostly local guys who know the area well. We don't have a big menu with hundreds of items. We just make what we know people like to eat every day. Sometimes when there is a strike or the depot is closed, it gets very quiet here, and we just sit around cleaning things. But usually, there is a steady flow of travelers carrying their bags and looking for a meal. We don't use any fancy marketing. The sign outside is enough for people to find us. It is just a regular place where you can get a hot meal and go on your way. We have been part of this street for so long that the building feels like a second home to all of us.
