Shringar Restaurant is over on Vinoba Road in Mysore, right in the Shivarampet area where things are always moving. It’s a busy part of town, so there is usually a lot of noise from the street. We have been in this spot for some time. It is not a very large place, just enough room for people to sit down and have a meal without feeling too cramped. Most of our customers are folks who work in the nearby shops or tourists who ended up wandering away from the main palace area. The building is a bit old, and you can see that in the corners of the walls, but we keep the tables wiped down. We don't have a big fancy menu with pictures. Usually, someone just asks what is ready today and we tell them. Sometimes the fans are a bit slow when it gets really hot in the afternoon. My brother and I run the front while a few others stay in the back. It’s hard work and the days are long, starting quite early to get things prepped. We don’t bother with advertisements or anything like that. People find us because they are hungry and we are here. It’s a simple setup. We deal with the usual problems like the sink getting clogged or a supplier forgetting the onions. It is just a normal life running a small place in Mysore.
