Mysore Taj Restaurant

Our place is at 5 Light Circle on B N Road in Mysore. This is a very well-known spot in the city and there is always a lot of traffic passing by. We have been here for a long time and the building shows its age a bit. It is a regular restaurant where we serve a mix of things throughout the day. We start early in the morning when the city is just waking up and the tea starts brewing. The circle outside is always busy with cars and bikes, and that energy kind of carries into the restaurant. We have old wooden tables and the fans are always spinning to keep the air moving. My staff and I know many of our customers by name because they have been coming here for years. It is a very local atmosphere where people sit and talk for a while. We don't have any corporate rules or fancy uniforms; we just dress practically for the work. The kitchen gets quite hot in the middle of the day, especially when all the burners are going. We just focus on keeping the pots full and the customers fed. It is a simple way of doing things, but it works for us. We don't spend money on ads; the location at the circle does the work for us. Every day is pretty much the same, just steady work in a busy part of town. We just open up and see what the day brings our way.
